"The Southside has a simple yet delicious flavor profile that perfectly balances sweet, sour, and minty flavors. The gin provides a botanical depth of flavor, while the fresh lime juice adds a tangy kick. The sugar helps to balance out the sourness of the lime juice, and the mint leaves provide a fresh and aromatic finish. The Southside is a classic cocktail that is said to have been around for over a century now and remains a popular choice for gin lovers. This refreshing and crisp cocktail is made with gin, fresh lime juice, sugar, and mint leaves, and is often served on the rocks in a highball or tall coupette glass, garnished with a sprig of fresh mint."
