Milano-Torino is a classic cocktail that was created in Italy, where it is named after the cities of Milan - home of Campari, and Turin - home of the first vermouth appellation. The drink is typically made with Campari and sweet vermouth in equal parts. The Campari gives the cocktail a bitter and herbal taste, while the sweet vermouth adds a smooth and slightly sweet flavor, with an alcohol percentage matching a glass of (fairly strong) wine. The Milano-Torino is a simple yet sophisticated cocktail that has been enjoyed since the early 1900s and laid the groundwork for the cocktail classic Negroni. It can be served over ice or straight up and is usually garnished with an orange slice or peel.
