The lightest hint of phenols woven almost imperceptibly through this heather-honey-edged malt. Brown toast and liquorice helps balance the drier oaks and the sweeter malt to a delightful degree. Intense and deep brown sugars, spice, liquid barley and elegant beech wood smoke surrounds the tannins from the bespoke Hungarian oak casks. Carefully double distilled, but not so careful as to remove character. This is indeed a complex and sophisticated malt.
